God and the Creation

I think it's time for a test! Here are some question:
- are owls nocturnal?
- can parrots really talk?
- what is the smallest eagle?
- which two eagles are mostly found in Canada and the United states?
- how much does a average Bald Eagle's nest way?
-how far can a owl turn their head?

I learned about the owl! Here are my facts:
- they are nocturnal
- some of them may live in your back yard
- owls have a extra joint in their head the let's them turn it 60 degrees
-they have very good eye sight, they can almost see, as well as we can see in the day, at night

Today i learned about how majestic the Lord God is... he is a very majestic God!!!!!

Today I did the parrot. Here are some facts:
- parrots are considered the most intelligent of birds
  - they are fun pets to train and play with
- they come in many colors
- smart and in interesting to watch
- great friends!!!

To bad I don't have one...sigh...

Has your teacher (to help remember directions) told you "Never eat soggy waffles? Well, here's something similar. Kings play chess on fine glass sets. this phrase helps you to remember the first letter in each classification. Kingdom,Phylum,Class,Order,Family,Genus and Species.

I did the Eagle. Here are some facts.
-the Golden Eagle's science name is Aquila chrysaetos
- the Golden Eagles and the Bald Eagles are found mostly in Canada and the United States
- the smallest Eagle is the Booted Eagle
- an average Bald Eagle's nest ways a ton (that's how much a small car ways)

 Anytime you look at a fly or a hawk, your being a zoologist!

 Anyway, here is a some facts on the hawk:
-a hawk is a common name for some birds of prey
-hawks are some of the most intelligent
-hawks are well known for their sharp and keen eyesight
- in Egypt, hawks are the birds of "Horus"

I finished astronomy. Now I'm learning from Zoology 1: Flying Creatures of the Fifth Day.
 I didn't learn much, but it looked pretty interesting.............

Today I read about the Psalmist wanting the Lord to deliver his life.
There was stuff like "Be gracious to me O Lord, for I am languishing;
heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled." (Psalms 6:2) and "Turn, O Lord, deliver my life;
save me for the sake of your steadfast love." (Psalms 6:2).

 Wow.....

Now, if my last blog post didn't convince you, I bet you want to work for NASA. Here is some reason that's a good idea and some reasons that's a bad idea:

Good reason:

- good payment
- you have some fun with experiments
Bad reason:
 - you will have to work really hard in math and science to go to NASA
- if your a NASA engineer and someone is stuck in space it's your fault
Now, study hard!!!

Want to be an astronaut? Are you sure? Think again. After you learn these facts than... you'll probaly be having second thought.
 - When your in space, there's not much gravity so your float around with NO control.
- You have to drink water out of a pouch, because, when a drink spills, it could ruin the contol panel and other machines on the spacecraft.
-  You will have to take a shower with a rag, dipped into a pail of water.
- Any time, an asteroid could hit your spacecraft.

Here's how hockey became my favorite sport:

 Four years ago, on my birthday ( October 31st) I went to the Larson Ice rink with some friends.
 After a hour of skating I heard My parents talking about me playing hockey, I "thought" that the equipment would slow me down on ice.
Finally, my parents signed me up (Now I'm glad they did!) and I went to practice. Now, at the moment, it was weird with a bunch of strangers around me. The 1, 2,3,4 and 5 practice I fell down and tripped over my skates. But with a little practice at home, I started making friends at the ice rink well, at the same time, becoming a better shooter and skater.

At the end of the season we had a few games against other towns. I don't remember much, but I think we (our team) did okay. Next year, I was a little more happy about going to hockey. This time, I started becoming one of the best players. During the practice time at home and the practice time at Larson I managed to do well in the games.

Now, since of my age, I got moved up a level in hockey.  By this time, I was really good at hockey. Drills helped. At the end of the season  I was a best player, so I was picked for a team. (A little more information on that "team". Some town's team's best players teamed up with other town's best player to play against other town's team's best players. I was picked, with some other players from Brookings, to team up with Luverne in a tournament.) In that tournament, on our last game, we tied: 3 to3. So we did over time for five minutes. Nobody scored. So in the end, we did a shootout! At the end, it was 5 to 5.... and my turn. Some how, by God's grace, I scored.
 And now I'm going to go into another season of hockey. I'm certainly going to enjoy it.
