Scorpions

With it's fierce claws, big stinger, and scuttling legs, the scorpion may look more dangerous than a spider. The stinger is called a telson. If it stings you, it would be harmful. But rest assured, young reader, this scorpion would rather run than attack.

Jumping Spider

Jumping spiders, as you would expect, can jump 20 to 30 times their own height. An interesting fact is that, before it ambushes it's prey, it attaches a line of web to it's hiding place, so if it misses, it can just climb right back and take on it's original position!!

The Tarantula

When people think of a tarantula, they usually think of a very poisons and dangerous spider. Truth is that , although it is venomous, it's venom can not  harm humans.
It gets it's food from hiding, then ambushing it's prey. In movies, a tarantula is portrayed as a monster.

Velociraptor

This medium sized dino is fast and aggressive. These animals may have had feathers on them, because their bones are similar to bird bones. Some scientist think that Velociraptor had feathers, but none have been found with their fossils.

T-rex

The Tyrannosaurus rex is perhaps the most famous of all dinosaurs. It is a huge dinosaur. Picture animal, with a body more than 40 ft long, a head 6 feet, 60 teeth, and 7 inches long. Now you know what a T-rex looks like.

Ankylosaurus

Ankylosaurus  have one long tail, with similar-to-wrecking ball at the end. It has plates covering it's whole body, and it is very powerful. It's face also has a few horns. It looks similar to a tank, since of it's thick armor!

The Great and Mighty.............. Stegosaurus!!!!

The Stegosaurus look like this: armor plates/spikes (each two ft. long), tail, four legs, one head, 30 ft. long, all in all, an average dinosaur.
Scientist used to think that stegosaurus's spikes were flat, until they found a full fossil.
