a visit to NOAA
For a home school with FOCHES we went to NOAA (No-a). Went in to a room and studied the turnado, here are some Q. and A.
1. Q. Where do you go in a tornado
1.A In the basement or under stairs.
2. Q. When there is a tornado alarm, would you go out side and take pics.
2 Q. Probably not
Then we learned something I thought was interesting:
"How are most people killed in a tornado? "
After a pause, he said "By things that break and are flying around!"
That made sense. I mean, if a window breaks then glass shatters and the tornado will be throw that hard and you might, just might, get hit in the face with glass (which is as sharp as a knife)
The END
